The CHS efforts to attain and maintain (MCHS) status have had a positive academic and social impact on the culture of the campus. The teacher to student ratio (20:1), allows staff and school to individualize learning and meet the needs of the “whole child”. The results have led to increased graduation and attendance rates, while decreasing negative disciplinary behavior schoolwide. CHS, with the support of Porterville Unified School District, is committed to serving as a (CCEA) Model School for years to follow.
